FOUNDATIONAL SKILLS FOR DIRECTORS

 

This program is designed to strengthen your ability to grow and retain talented managers who are capable and committed contributors to superior business results.  

Directors will have the opportunity to:

  • Reinforce the essential principles of the performance management system: goal setting, coaching and feedback, year-end appraisal, and individual development planning.

Successful directors are able to leverage individual differences to build high-performance management teams. In this program, we will focus on the tools and techniques available to Intralinks directors to help their team achieve exceptional results.

Directors will have the opportunity to:

MAKING EFFECTIVE DECISIONS

 

Directors are asked to solve problems and make decisions in a shorter time frame than ever before. Current research shows that leaders feel that the ability to think analytically is the most critical skill required to be successful in their role, and the skill most lacking in today’s workforce. This two-day program is designed to help directors improve their ability to analyze and solve difficult on-the-job problems and to improve their decision-making.   

 

Directors will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Discover the principles of critical thinking and its application to solving business challenges.

  • Assess their preferred problem-solving style and understand its impact in how they approach problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Leverage critical thinking tools to help manage the challenges we face in making decisions at Intralinks.

  • Apply class tools in a critical thinking case study.

Making Effective Decisions

HIGH IMPACT COACHING

 

This workshop is designed to increase each participant’s competence and confidence as a practicing coach.

 

Directors will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Recognize the multiple benefits of coaching for the business and the individuals involved.

  • Define coaching and identify three commonly distinguished types of coaching.

  • Learn the critical competencies necessary for successful coaching.

  • Create a coach’s development plan based on the results of a competency-based coaching assessment.

  • Understand the critical elements necessary to build and sustain trusting partnerships.

  • Practice the skills of being present, disclosing, inquiring, and building commitment.

High Impact Coaching

TALENT MANAGEMENT/CAREER DEVELOPMENT

 

Superior talent provides organizations with a sustained competitive advantage. This practical program is designed to help leaders understand the talent management process and leverage tools to help their team select the right development activities that realize their full potential. The second component of the training takes that process one step further by equipping directors with best practices around conducting career conversations with their respective management employees.

  • Validate high potential selection with the right identification criteria and processes.

  • Advise and support their team in the creation of high-impact development plans.

MATRIX MANAGEMENT

 

Matrix roles (and the challenges that come with them) are everywhere! Increasingly our teams are outside our local office. Getting things done in a matrix requires a different set of skills and approaches than a traditional approach. In this program we will look at some of the best practices that help us build our local and functional Director Partnerships.
 

At the end of this workshop, local and functional directors will have the opportunity to:

  • Utilize tools and techniques that help local and functional directors be successful.

  • Identify and develop action steps to support Critical Connections between local and functional directors, and their teams.

  • Assess their matrix management skills.

  • Enhance the local and functional director partnerships.

Matrix Management

STRATEGIC THINKING SKILLS WITH SIMULATION

This workshop is designed to increase each participant’s competence and confidence as a strategic thinker.  After assessing critical competencies for Strategic Thinking, and learning effective techniques, participants have the opportunity to build their skills by practicing through an engaging simulation.  This program consistently receives high marks from participants and clients!

Directors will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Assess both your strategic and critical thinking skills.

  • Utilize tools and techniques to understand dynamic markets and strategic complexity.

  • Sharpen your skills in strategic thinking.

  • Create models and tools to enhance strategic conversations
